Jan 04 - Spencer Gifts Campaign Launched at wearingracism.blogspot.com
Graduate student Vanessa Au launches a campaign to protest the sale of racist t-shirts by Spencer Gifts featuring a racially derogatory anti-Asian images and themes: the likeness of a religious figure, the Buddha, with the words "I MAY BE FAT BUT MY COCK IS HUGE;" a caricature of an Asian man with the words "HANG OUT WITH YOUR WANG OUT;" and a shirt that reads "SUK MAI COCK POULTRY FARM." The website has pictures of the t-shirts, campaign news, etc. |
